There are many opportunities to use your musical gifts at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Special music takes the form of soloists and small vocal and instrumental ensembles. These special opportunities are a part of our Sunday services and our special programs. Ensembles include:

• Brass Ensemble

• Woodwind Ensemble

• String Ensemble

• Orchestra 

• Handbells

• Technical Ministry

These musical programs are open to our high school age students and adults.

Choir

The adult choir is one of the primary music ministries at Pleasant Hill. They perform a wide selection of music for our Sunday Morning Services and participate in several special events throughout the year. Those with a love for music and a desire to sing for the Lord are encouraged to participate. The choir meets at 5:00 p.m. on Sundays for practice and is open to those from high school age and older. Participants commit to attendance at rehearsals and morning worship.

Children's Choir

Our Children's Choir sings periodically throughout the year for our Sunday services. They meet to practice during Sunday School and Junior Church.

We also have a Children's Chime group available for those in Grades 3 and up. We welcome any child who has an interest in practicing with us and playing occasionally for our music ministry during our services.

 

 

Seasonal Events

We enjoy participating in several seasonal events during the year. Our largest programs are Christmas and Easter; these include performances by our PHBC orchestra. We also have a Homecoming Concert in the fall.
