MUSIC
“Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise in the assembly of saints” Psalm 149:1
God has given us the gift of music in order to encourage us to a richer faith in Christ. There are many opportunities for those who have been gifted by the Lord musically to use this enablement for the edification of His people.
Instrumental
There are a variety of opportunities to worship the Lord and edify His people using instruments. Some of these opportunities include orchestra, brass ensembles, woodwind ensembles, string ensembles, and handbells. We also utilize a variety of instrumentalists to accompany and support our congregational singing.
Choir
The adult choir is one of the primary music ministries at Pleasant Hill. They perform a wide selection of music for our Sunday Morning Services and participate in several special events throughout the year. Those with a love for music and a desire to sing for the Lord are encouraged to participate. The choir meets at 5:00 p.m. on Sundays for practice and is open to those from high school age and older. Participants commit to attendance at rehearsals and morning worship.
Special Music Ministry
During our services, gifted and willing individuals or small ensembles encourage the congregation in song.
Children’s Choir
Our Children's Choir sings periodically throughout the year for our Sunday services. They meet to practice during Sunday School and Junior Church. We welcome any child who has an interest in practicing with us for our music ministry during our services.
Seasonal Events
We enjoy marking special occasions with special musical events. Christmas, Easter, Homecoming Sunday, and other occasions are opportunities to sing together and hear the Word sung.
If you have any questions or would like to get involved in the music ministry, please contact the Church Office or Pastor Mark.
